Bowling Trophy2

The bowling teams headed over to Boardwalk Bowling yesterday for the district tournament.  Both the boys and girls teams qualified for the championship round after posting impressive scores during the morning session.

The girls team went into the championship round as the number 2 seed and finished with a very impressive 4th place finish in the district.

We are very proud to announce that Freshman bowler Clara Santana finished in 2nd place individually and will represent Colonial High School at the State Tournament!

The boys team finished the morning session in third place and had a tough draw, having to play #2 Boone in the first round. The boys put together their best effort of the season beating Boone 3 games to 1 in the best of 5 match-up. The next test came in the form of #1 Timber Creek. The boys topped their performance against Boone and also knocked off Timber Creek 3 games to 1. In the end, they took home the District Runner-Up trophy and qualified as a team for the state tournament.  They will be back at Boardwalk Bowling next Wednesday to try to take home the State Title.

If you see a member of either bowling team, congratulate them on a great job at the district tournament!
