Another great day for Colonial!

This last Saturday Colonial Boys and Girls Cross Country competed in the District Meet. The girls did phenomenal and made amends for last weeks fourth place finish at metros by beating the two teams that we should have that week and took on even more competitors and finish 3rd at Districts! This qualified our entire girls team to Regions this up coming Saturday at Sante Fe College in Gainesville, FL. These girls beat their best times and took on some of the hardest teams in the 4A division. We had two racers that qualified for the Regions by themselves placing in the top 15, Alisa Marlow and Mikaela Montero. We were able to make regions last year but we bettered our points tally and position this year.

The boys gave everything and got personal bests for about every runner. One runner was only 2 places out of qualifying for Regions and only about 15 seconds from it. Moises Montalvo finished 17th and had an amazing race.  They are a young team and will be back next year to show everyone what they can do.

We even had a visit from one of our very own alumni and Olympic competitors and athlete I had the pleasure to teach and coach, Andres Arroyo.
